Strawberry Festival
Start your summer at our annual Strawberry Festival
At Wesley Grove UMC the beginning of summer means it’s time for our Strawberry Festival! We’ve held the festival on the first Saturday of June since the mid-1970’s, and we invite the whole community to come together to enjoy our tradition of food, music, games, and shopping — rain or shine!
Admission and parking is free. All proceeds raised go to support our many church projects.
Here’s what you can expect to see at our Strawberry Festival:
Homemade Food
- Crab cakes
- Pit ham
- Italian Sausages
- Coleslaw
- Green Beans
Homemade Baked Goods
- Strawberry pies
- Strawberry shortcake
- Breads
- Jams
- Cupcakes
- Turnovers
- Cookies
- Brownies
- And more!
Shopping

- Direct sale vendors
- Local produce: flowers, strawberries, and vegetable plants
Additional Activities (varies by year)

The days leading up to the event are spent preparing the grounds and all of the food. Our men, women, and scouts assist with picking crab meat for our crab cakes, cutting up pounds of strawberries for our various desserts, chopping up veggies for our coleslaw, and setting up all the tables and tents. The time and effort spent are well worth it as we get to share our love of Christ with friendly faces from near and far.
